True luxury is found when you stop communicating for once and get lost in yourselves and in nature
By combining earthly and spiritual powers, the Prince-Bishops of Bressanone created an economic system that included castles, abbeys, alpine farmsteads and lodges.
Many of their strongholds were located in dominant positions of well-trafficked areas whereas the most productive farmsteads were often found in the secluded, enchanted corners of these mountains.
One of these spots hosts the Bishops' Lodge at an altitude of 1200 metres overlooking the Val Pusteria.
The building dates back to the 16th century and its imposing walls rise in the heart of a forest filled with deer and wild plant life, making it the ideal hunting lodge for powerful high-ranking members of clergy and their guests.
The Lodge can only be reserved to one group of guests at a time and can host up to 10 guests.
Your stay must last no less than three nights, with the exception of the Christmas and New Year’s holiday season when reservations must be made for at least 7 nights.
